Something I love about photography is the opportunity to connect with a particular situation and make a difference in the lives of others. As a photographer, often my first and most natural response to experiencing a particular emotion is to grab my camera and create art. Not only is capturing an image therapeutic and beneficial to my own soul, but the gift of photography is something that I can so easily share with others and is a perfect way to make an impact on my communities.

I feel so honored, thankful and blessed to have been part of Jonathan & Christi´s adoption silent auction by donating a family photo shoot.

Jonathan & Christi are 2 beautiful souls who are doing everything they can to welcome a beautiful new life from Colombia into their family. As part of their adoption process, they organized an adoption silent auction in order to cover part of the adoption-related costs and help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. I was surprised to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $40,000 or more!

The silent auction was a huge success- they raised over $5,500!!

They are hoping to travel to Colombia in late March to bring their little boy home. I´m excited for them and can´t wait to capture their precious little family of 3!
