Adorable Lucia is one year old! First birthdays are such a big milestone in a baby’s life. We love seeing personalities coming through in their first stage of life. We had so much fun during her birthday photo session.

How can you not smile when you look at this little munchkin!? Lucia had us all cracking up at her cake smash session. At first she was more interested in the decor than the cake and was a little distracted by the balloons and tearing away at the pink paper flowers. She really wasn’t quite sure what to think and only reluctantly grabbed (more like poked) at the pink cake. Mom assured me that this cautious behavior was not typical and they expected her to dive in! Which she eventually did (after a little coaxing!).

The aftermath-bath seems to be every baby’s favorite part, and Lucia was no different! The little bucket was almost too small for this one year old though! (She’s one tall baby!) Even though it was a bit of a tight squeeze for her, she still loved splashing around… and eating the rubber ducks (’cause all that cake works up an appetite I guess!) All-in-all it was a great day celebrating this cutie’s first birthday!
